WEST VANCOUVER, British Columbia (August 10, 2010) It took just a few hours for MAKE MY MARKETING WORK: How To Win Customers & Make More Money, written by local North Shore and Vancouver small business coaches and marketing strategists Paul Keetch & Alex Read, to attain a top ten spot in the competitive “Marketing & Sales” category reaching a peak of #9 today.  MAKE MY MARKETING WORK also charted #1, in the “Small Business & Entrepreneurship: Marketing” sub-category.

Keetch & Read’s first book had received advanced acclaim from experts and business leaders including bestselling business author Christine Comaford (Rules for Renegades), David E Coe (former CEO, DairyLand), Dean Gagnon (President, CityMax.com) and Andrew Latchford (COO, Cactus Club Restaurants).

According to Keetch, “The number one issue facing small business owners today is the ability to reach their audience with a compelling message that stands out in an overwhelming sea of advertising – our goal with (this book) was to make that process easier.”

Keetch and Read use clear, simple language to teach business owners the fundamentals of developing a sound marketing strategy and include a unique set of downloadable worksheets to assist readers with implementing the topics covered in the book.

In addition to writing Make My Marketing Work, Keetch and Read have worked with numerous Vancouver- and North Shore-based businesses to assist them in developing powerful new strategies that effectively “win new customers” for their clients.

Among the keys to marketing success featured in Make My Marketing Work are learning how to:

  • Understand both WHAT and WHO your customers are by identifying demographic and psychographic profiles that clearly identify the prevailing fears, frustrations and desires of a target audience.
  • Create a powerful series of messages that speak directly to the NEEDS and WANTS of your audience while setting your business apart from the competition as the easiest and most direct route to reaching their desired outcome(s).
  • Implement the necessary tracking mechanisms to be able to accurately measure Return on Marketing Investment (ROMI) of each individual marketing channel in order to make smarter, sounder marketing decisions in the future.
