Internet marketing has come a LONG way. It’s pretty rare that people who are trying to learn internet marketing haven’t heard of the “product launch”.
You know, those “million dollar days” that the big gurus seem to do every few months or so.
Until recently, it was virtually impossible for the rest of us to mimic the systems the big guys were using to run their big million dollar launches. Then, all of a sudden, two new players popped up to fill the void.
It’s not surprising, really.
Good business owners recognize a demand in the market and then fill that void with products or services. But when it comes to which option you should deploy for your business, from my perspective it’s a no-brainer.
Material Connection Disclosure: This post is a product review of OptimizePress. You should assume that any links on this page are referral links and, should you decide to purchase this software, I will be compensated in some way.
The two options that I’ve seen and used (there could, and probably are, additional options of which I’m not aware) are Kajabi and OptimizePress.
Kajabi is a hosted solution created by Andy Jenkins and it is no doubt impressive. But at $97 per month for a single launch system it simply isn’t feasible for most people, unless you’re interested in paying $1200 per year, per product launch, regardless of how much you make.
Yes, Kajabi is hosted and includes media service up to a certain level. But unless you’re at the level of the big players, it’s probably not financially feasible for you to spend $97 per month without knowing how well your launch is going to work.
Then there’s OptimizePress. A unique WordPress THEME that does much of the same things as Kajabi, only for 1/12 the investment per year.
Actually, since you can install OptimizePress on an unlimited number of domains that you own, it’s actually worth much more than that.
Yes, you have to install WordPress and the OptimizePress theme on a domain hosted by you. Which means you have to pay hosting fees which you can get for as little as $5 per month.
It’s important to note that OP is a theme not a plugin. You cannot install it using your existing theme design, you’ll have to customize the new theme based on it’s template and layout options. I am using it for product sites, but this site is a custom wordpress theme and it is staying as it is (for now).
And yes, you have to configure and set up OptimizePress yourself. Of course, you actually have to set up Kajabi yourself, too.
Here’s the bottom line:
For $97 OptimizePress will do MOST of what Kajabi will do.
And since MOST of us aren’t going to do all of the huge amounts of work that go into a multi-million dollar product launch, with the TV-quality videos, massive JV partners and the team of people to implement it, MOST is really all you need.
But don’t take only my word for it. Have a look at how I’m using OptimizePress to sell my book Make My Marketing Work. Or another product called Millionaire Prep School. Or you can check out how one of my clients, Libby Gill, is using OptimizePress on her newest sales site Web Makeover With Libby.
When you’ve looked at those, be sure to visit the OptimizePress page (built with OP, of course) and read more about it for yourself.
If you want to leverage the power of product launches for your business without the expense of creating a custom process or having recurring monthly charges, OptimizePress could be just the tool you need.
P.S. If you decide to get it, be sure to come back here and let me know what you think by leaving a comment below.
P.P.S. At the time of this writing, OptimizePress is only $97, but I understand that they have plans to increase the price. I apologize in advance if the price has already gone up by the time you read this.
