Even though I teach marketing strategy and tactics to other coaches, I’m always looking out for what’s coming next, what others are doing and how I can adapt those ideas and put a new spin on them.
One of the coaches I follow closely is Christian Mickelsen because he’s been able to build a 7-figure business as a coach, helping his clients grow their businesses to new and amazing heights.
I’m on Christian’s mailing list and he recently shared a gift with his subsribers called the Ultimate Lifestyle Planner. It was a video file and 2 PDF mindmaps of the process Christian has used for himself (and that he uses with his clients) to help them define what they want to get out of life.
IF YOU CAN’T DEFINE IT, YOU CAN’T DESIGN IT
In defining the things you want to do, be and have in your life, you can start to make a plan to achieve them. It’s not all going to happen at once, but it will give you a clear picture of where you’re headed.
Then you can take concrete actions that will move you closer to those goals. You can also use them to help you make decisions.
Let’s say you’re faced with two options to promote your business. One is a highly lucrative, world-wide speaking tour and the other is the chance to participate in a virtual training program, but it’s not going to make you as much money.
What do you do?
Well, if you look at your lifestyle plan and realize that family time is your top priority, going on a worldwide tour is counter to realizing that outcome.
On the other hand, if you’re single and motivated and have “travel the world extensively” on your plan, well staying home and doing a virtual event just isn’t going to fulfill that desire.
WHAT CAN YOU DO THIS WEEK TO CREATE YOUR ULTIMATE LIFESTYLE?
This process isn’t wishy-washy law of attraction stuff (although I do believe that you get more of what you focus on and you can attract better things into your life, if you want to0).
It’s really about picking a target, making a choice and then taking the actions that will move you closer to that goal.
One of the things on MY list is to get lots of time outside in the fresh air, exploring the mountains and forests near where I live. So today, while my American clients are off celebrating Thanksgiving (Canadians celebrate in October) I’m going to take a couple of hours and go for a snowshoe in the mountains.
Thanks Christian for the inspiration! I’m grateful for the gift if your Lifestyle Planner!
